New Plan!

So I've been thinking about a few things.

1: I'm very interested in screenwriting, and would like to be a professional screenwriter.

2: Living in California sounds nice.

So! I've decided that I'm going to finish out my Bachelors' degree at UTA, then, for my Masters' degree, transfer over to a school with a good screenwriting program, possibly in California.

Thoughts?

  1. As unhelpful as this might sound, it's really up to you XD I can definitely say I think you would be good at it, though, and I agree, Cali sounds nice :D

  2. That's really exciting Aaron! Very few people in this world ever get to the point where they feel like they "know what they want to be when they grow up".

You're an amazing writer and, therefore, California is a logical choice.

A few things to consider: (1) be prepared for the life of poverty of a struggling artist...for a few years anyway, (2) be prepared for a LOT of rejection and harsh criticism, (3) be prepared to spend many sleepless nights promoting yourself and your work....because no one else will do it for you, (4) be prepared for the dog-eat-dog competitive nature of the biz.

If you feel like you can handle all of that --- then you will have a great future ahead of you!
